Solar Water Heating - Greener than you think.

Heating water is one of the largest energy consumers in your home or business. According to ENERGY STAR^®, the use of a solar water heater with a back-up gas heater can cut those costs in half. Southwest Gas is offering rebates for the purchase and installation of solar thermal water heating systems when installed in conjunction with natural gas water heaters.

Installing solar water heating systems in your home or business can provide
numerous benefits including:

Save energy and money - by using the sun’s energy you can reduce your hot water energy consumption by up to 50%*
Preserve the environment by reducing greenhouse gas emissions - heat water with
the sun's power with a natural gas back-up
Guard against future fuel shortages or price hikes – the source of your energy

Rebates are available for Southwest Gas’ Nevada customers for the purchase and installation of solar thermal water heating systems when installed in conjunction with a natural gas water heater. Customers with the following facility types are eligible:

Residential
Small Businesses
Schools
Public facilities
Religious and Non-profit facilities
Civic and County facilities
